Ecologism
Prima facie, Ecologism is all about anthropocentrism; I'm no t going to argue that's wrong but I will say that it gets easier to understand if you make it about civilisation. The thing is, humanity is necessarily anthropocentric and so the question really should be about less about how we view our place in the ecosystem and more about the extent to which we should bend the ecosystem to our will. If we think about civilisation as the mark we leave on the planet (in a positive sense at least), we can then question whether or not it is worth saving.
